as with most things, we have varying views on this.
i’m of the opinion that people without aspd getting informed and being open-minded about the things we think, feel, and do are awesome! you’re going out of your way to do something that makes our lives easier and enacts change, even if in a very small amount, which is super cool.
on the other hand, some people may take it as romanticisation, fetishisation, or an insult. some people with aspd or other pds simply hate all nts and nothing you can do is going to change their mind on that. in my experience, however, these people are the minority.
people like me who support you in getting informed have numbers on our side, and this goes for just about anything. being informed, learning about others, it all gives you insight into others’ situation and makes it easier, whatever your empathy level, to understand and relate to them. being open to listening to others’ stories just makes us all a little nicer.
